About Martins

Brendon Martin, owner and founder of Martins, started in the gardening industry in the 1980s. The potting media and soil company he has built includes a large product range with eye-catching packaging. Martins operates from a rural site at Yass in southern New South Wales transporting products throughout New South Wales and Victoria, as well into Queensland and South Australia. Martins expanding range of gardening products includes potting mix, manures, soil conditioners, mulch and fertiliser.

Martins is family owned and operated, first starting out on the family farm. The first product produced at Martins was sheep manure direct form the family's shearing shed. The product range soon grew with gypsum and cow manure, potting mix, mulch and fertiliser to follow.

Martins latest expansion into baled mulches has seen the installation of equipment to produce compressed bales of certified organic mulch and animal bedding.

Martins company also has one of the largest bagging capacities in Australia and takes pride in product quality. Martins supplies wholesale nurseries with growing media and it has supplied growing media to Floriade in Canberra since 2008.
